Images of Phitsanulok, Thailand

Phitsanulok is located 390 km north of Bangkok. It has quite a few comfortable hotels, and could be a good base to visit the surrounding historical cities of Sukhothai, Sri Satchanalai, and Kamphaeng Phet.

Its major attraction, and this is especially true for Thai people, is Phra Phuttha Chinnarat, a revered bronze Buddha image at Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat. It is generally considered the second most important Buddha image of the country (after the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok)
